The Peters Township Youth Tackle Football league was started to provide children K through 8th grade an opportunity to participate in tackle Football.
The Program is supported by local parents and sponsors. All board members, administrators and coaches are non-paid volunteers. This league is a league that teaches the fundamentals of football and sportsmanship, and how to be a team player on and off the field. We offer a skills camp in the spring and tackle football in the fall.
The purpose of PTJFA is to provide an understanding of the game of football and encourage sportsmanship and character in the game and in life. Our mission is to teach the fundamentals and rules in addition to the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the game. We are committed to encouraging a balance of football, family, school and fun. Our goal is that the athlete will understand how football promotes and develops positive life qualities such as team, respect, discipline, effort, perseverance and fitness and that they will practice those qualities on the field and in life.
The cost is $75 per child, $150 special family rate for two or more.
A free concussion baseline test will be provided for all who register for the camp.
All players are provided T-Shirts and are to be worn during the program.
2015 Dates are: 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3/26 and 4/9. There will also be an additional outdoor agility session / player evaluation (TBD).
Our football teams take the field to compete in the G19 Youth Football League. Don't miss out on the action! It's time for another great season of PT Football. All games will be played on Saturdays either home or away. Check the G19 Website for rules, teams, game times, and location.
The cost for the season is $150 per player, $300 for 2 or more players in a family.
PTJFA does not provide helmets. We recommend Century Sports or Riddell Helmets.
All new players and returning players that need larger uniforms - cost is $82 per uniform.
Practices start (helmets only) on August 3, 2015. The first practice in pads will be August 10, 2015.
Whether you have a child on one of our teams or just want to give something back to your local community, we are always looking for good volunteer coaches.
A volunteer coach is a special job and in many cases seems thankless. It takes a certain type of person to give their time, effort and expertise for the good of others. We always need as much help as we can get. If you'd like to volunteer your time in any way (coaching, managing, assisting) please let us know by filling out the contact form. If you are interested in coaching, you will need to submit Act 33 Clearance and complete the online membership with USA Football for consideration.Download Application Form
